We like that this non-profit works a little differently: though inspiring and empowering youth to take action and make a change in their own community. The message is that young people can change the world, and are doing it every day. The values and life skills that Roots & Shoots promotes are what we at wish to support and deeply stand behind.
Some highlight programs that bring the community together through food are growing backyard and school gardens in the U.S.; raising awareness of the importance of true extra-virgin olive oil production in Spain and ending hunger through soup kitchen service.
